The Quartier Vanier Merchants Association turns 25 in 2010.

25th Anniversary of the QVThis spring the QV will be celebrating its 25th Birthday at our annual business gala. Take part in the celebration by sending us your nominations for local excellence in the QV.

  • Talk of the Town
    There has been a good buzz going around about certain businesses. Tell us who you have been hearing the most about! Who knows… It could be you!

  • Cummings Longevity
    This award is an appreciation of great businesses that have stood the test of time. Tell us how long you have been in the area.

  • Great Media Support
    Our local community papers help initiate or spread the buzz about the Quartier. There has been a lot going on, and they have been there to show that our area is shining. What article, writer, or paper has really stuck out for you? Let us know!

  • Outstanding Commitment
    This award is presented to individuals that have gone beyond their call of duty in the Quartier. Their support, initiative, dedication and willingness to lend a helping hand has molded Vanier for the better. Nominate your QV role model!

  • Enhancing the Quartier’s Image
    This category represents genuine efforts toward improvements for a business that has in turn had a direct impact on our commercial zone.

    This award is presented to residents that have undertaken special initiatives to participate and build their community.

Have you spotted any graffiti lately?
Did you know that if you are a member of our association, we remove graffiti from your façade at no cost? Businesses call 613-745-0040 to find out more. If you are a business owner or resident and spot graffiti on City of Ottawa, Hydro, or Canada Post property then we encourage you to call 3-1-1 or e-mail 311@ottawa.ca to report it.

Parking signParking is no problem…Getting around the QV is simple!
Walk, bike, bus, or drive anywhere in the Quartier. We have many pedestrian-friendly sidewalks and bus accessible routes. Take the 1, 5, 7, 12, 14 & 15. Many of our merchants offer accessible free-parking as well.

McArthur Avenue Is In Style
Have you been on the avenue lately? The QV Merchants Association salutes McArthur Avenue by raising new decorative street banners. Check them out.

Farmer's Market

Get Fresh in 2010 with the QV Market and Artsfest
Buy local produce and merchandise at the third-annual Quartier Outdoor Market. Our market will run August 21 until October 9. This year’s hours will be 9 am – 2 pm.

  • Farmers, local producers, and Vanier restaurants: apply to be a vendor. We are now accepting applications.
  • If you perform live art (musicians, dancers, and other talents), or create visual arts (eg. painting, photography), we would love to hear from you.
