What's happening in the QV

What else is happening in the Quartier Vanier?

Wabano Centre, 6.2 Million Dollar Expansion
“This new building expansion project is a powerfully expressive space that will adjoin Wabano’s existing building. It will include a cultural gathering space, afterschool programs for children, social enterprise activities for young mothers, family counseling, and social and community development initiatives designed by the renowned Aboriginal architect Douglas Cardinal.”

Expanding our Horizons & Boundaries
There has been demand and a motion started to enlarge the business area of the Quartier Vanier. We are pleased to express our great excitement over extending our services to North Beechwood. Keep your ear to the QV for news on development.

Road Closures
The QV continues its consultations for strategically closing selected side-streets on Montreal Road. The concept will create better flow of road and pedestrian traffic that will help businesses as well as residents. More efforts to continue making the Quartier the place to be!

Safer Places to Walk
New residential hubs have been appearing in the Quartier. With more pedestrian traffic comes more responsibility. The City of Ottawa has committed to approach new sidewalk installations along the Vanier Parkway. The missing links of sidewalk between Montreal Road and McArthur and Montreal Road and Beechwood will be filled with sidewalk to increase pedestrian safety and usability.

Have You Spotted Any Graffiti lately?
